Connecting Across the Distance- building classroom community through distance learning

Distance learning has been hard on everyone, maybe even more so than we anticipated. As we’ve been talking to teachers, it seems like the emotional toll of losing connection with students is the hardest part to process. We can’t get all students to “show up”, grading and assigning work has gone bananas, and there are only so many more Zoom meetings we can handle…

Here’s what we know:

Distance learning doesn’t have to mean that classroom community ends.

It’s not over, it’s just different.

Join Amanda & Marie in a Masterclass made just for teachers looking to rebuild their classroom communities online. We will look at three major areas: environment, interactions, and experiences. During our Masterclass, teachers will receive ready-to-implement strategies, inspiring ideas, and develop a plan for moving forward into the school year. After the training, Amanda & Marie will join you LIVE for a Q&A session that personally addresses your concerns. We can’t wait to help you build a strategy to translate the amazing classroom community that you build in your physical building to the online space. It’s not perfect, it’s not easy, but we’ve got your back.

Here’s HOW IT WORKS:

Below, you will sign up for the Masterclass and choose a date that works best for you. Don’t worry: if the date or time doesn’t work out perfectly for you, you’ll still be able to catch everything on the replay in our private Facebook group! After you sign up, you’ll receive a few emails from us: confirmation of your purchase and an invitation to our private Facebook group. This is where the video will be hosted on the date that you selected. We will include all links, resources, and our workshop workbook there in the group! You’ll receive some email reminders about when the training is starting, and then, it begins! Expect the workshop to take about 45 minutes followed by another 45 minute Q&A session.
